From Kerry Ann Frazier:
“Working on the play Shattered Pieces coming September 14th to Killeen… and during our first rehearsal, I broke down in tears three times. I cried for those who suffer in silence, like I had, I cried for those who leave and get help and I cried for those who died by Domestic Violence homicide. Our rehearsal was so impactful. Several times we stopped because we just needed to soak in the moment. Our cast, literally held each other at rehearsal: Vallon Holcomb, Will Moleon Antoinette Bailey Toni Ringgold Tosch Theworshipper Amp Roscoe.
“A young rookie and a seasoned Sergeant saved my life at about 1:00 a.m. many years ago. I was completely broken. It took, family like Nakia Shy and Ann Sabrina good safe friends like Derick Edley and dynamic prosecutor Anne Jackson who is forever my friend to help me recover.
“I am telling you parts of my story to help someone heal, by exposing my experience, the dark secret of Family Violence: With support from Impact Outreach Rod Duckett, T3L Lolita Gilmore Aware Central Texas Biddick Dawn Misty.
“I need help, this topic is impactful: Pastors: Wesley Pope Sr. Pastor-Apryl Barnes-Coffie Mavis Morisseau Pastor Rodney W Gilchrist Tyrone Holcomb Stephanie Brooks Timmons Carlton Stimpson Chad Rowe, And so many more of you to help me.
“I need our community leaders to help me spread the word. This is still an issue in our community: Aya Fubara Eneli, Gregory Johnson Shirley Fleming Shirley LaTour Andy Mimi Wells Andy Williams Steve Harris Roland Stewart Nasw Ctx Central Texas Family Violence Task Force. Robena Tomlinson Taneka Patrick Tammara Gay Lynn Bivens Fields Tammy Moore
“Educators: Tina Capito Tina DuBose Cole Angie Ellis-Wilkerson Jeanya Anglin and so many I need you to help me get the word out.”

Inspired by the song “Four Women” by Nina Simone.
This dramatic piece is filled with life and laughter. The original song “Four Women” by Nina Simone takes four stereotypes of black women and sings about them as if they are real people. While it serves to criticize the stereotypes, “Four Women” is also a tribute to real women. This stage play will do just that, bring the real struggles, vulnerability, and triumphs of four women to life on stage.
A Raisin in the Sun A Broadway Hit Written by Lorraine Hansberry
Photos from previous show (Aug 25, 2018)
This iconic play is about an African-American family aspiring to move beyond segregation and disenfranchisement in 1950s Chicago. A Raisin in the Sun is essentially about dreams, as the main characters struggle to deal with the oppressive circumstances that rule their lives. The title of the play references a conjecture that Langston Hughes famously posed in a poem he wrote about dreams that were forgotten or put off.
